Slay'em Pest Control is a dedicated team using the latest technology which enable us to offer the most accurate and thorough termite inspections in our industry.

Inspections are performed using the following tools that complement the experience and knowledge of our technician:

• Visual assessment
• Sounding area with an "inspection probe" - an extendable handled probe with a retractable sounding ball on the end (commonly known as a donger)
• Moisture meter - an electronic device that detects moisture migration, a possible sign of termite activity
• Stethoscope/listening device - used to hear sounds of termite activity within building components

In areas where there is suspicion of termite activity:

• Slay'em Pest Control use a hand held unit called Termatrac which works on technology similar to radar and can detect termites through timber, plasterboard, brick or masonry
• Infra Red Camera - This is a great basic tools for our technicians to use to determine if any "heat spots" are present within the home.  "Heat Spots" doesn't necessarily mean that termites are nesting behind the walls but it does mean something is not quite right and the technician will focus their attention on this specific spot to confirm or eliminate the possibility of termites being present.
